NEET UG 2027 Syllabus and 9-Month Study Plan
NEET preparation becomes stressful when students try to finish every book, every lecture and every test at the same time. A nine-month plan gives you enough space to learn the syllabus properly, revise NCERT more than once and enter the mock-test phase without carrying a large backlog.
NEET UG 2027 bulletin is not available yet. NTA has not confirmed the 2027 exam date, final pattern or a separate 2027 syllabus. This guide uses the latest official NEET UG 2026 bulletin and NMC syllabus as the working base. Recheck the 2027 notice when NTA releases it.
Is Nine Months Enough for NEET UG 2027?
Yes, nine months is a useful preparation window for a beginner, a Class 12 student or a dropper who needs a fresh system. It is long enough to complete both Class 11 and Class 12 topics, but only when the first six months include question practice. If you spend six months watching lectures and keep all MCQs for later, the plan will feel short.
A practical target is to finish the first full syllabus cycle by the end of Month 6. Months 7 and 8 should be used for revision, previous-year questions and mixed tests. Month 9 should be mostly full-paper practice, NCERT recall and error correction. This creates three meetings with the same chapter: learning, revision and exam application.
NEET UG 2027 Exam Pattern: What Is Confirmed?
The final NEET UG 2027 exam pattern will come through the 2027 Information Bulletin. Until then, the latest official 2026 pattern is the safest reference for practice papers and time planning.
NEET UG 2027 Syllabus for Physics, Chemistry and Biology
The separate 2027 syllabus has not been published. The unit map below follows the updated NMC syllabus used for NEET UG 2026. Use it to begin preparation, but compare it with the official 2027 PDF when released because a topic can be added, removed or reworded.

Physics feels difficult because remembering a formula is not the same as selecting it inside a new numerical. Learn the concept, study two or three solved examples and then solve a timed set without looking at the solution.

Biology carries half of the reference paper marks, so NCERT reading cannot be casual. Read the sentence, close the book, recall it and then solve questions. Pay special attention to diagrams, examples, tables, scientific names and close-looking options.

NEET UG 2027 9-Month Study Plan
This is a rolling plan, so Month 1 means your starting month. Keep the final month close to the examination window after NTA announces the date. Each month includes learning, questions and revision; no month is lecture-only.
Learn the base and remove Class 11 fear
Months 1 to 3Physics: measurement, vectors and kinematics.
Chemistry: mole concept, atomic structure and bonding.
Biology: diversity, cell and biomolecules. Take a small diagnostic and start an error notebook.
Physics: laws of motion, work-energy and rotational basics.
Chemistry: thermodynamics, solutions and equilibrium.
Biology: structural organisation, plant physiology and the first half of human physiology.
Physics: gravitation, properties of matter, heat, oscillations and waves.
Chemistry: redox, electrochemistry, kinetics and organic basics.
Biology: finish human physiology, reproduction and weekly mixed tests.
Finish Class 12 areas and connect old chapters
Months 4 to 6Physics: electrostatics and current electricity.
Chemistry: periodicity, p-block and d- or f-block.
Biology: genetics and evolution. Add one cumulative test every two weeks and revise Month 1 chapters.
Physics: magnetism, electromagnetic induction and AC.
Chemistry: coordination compounds, hydrocarbons and halogen compounds.
Biology: human welfare, biotechnology and ecology. Begin the second Biology NCERT reading.
Physics: optics, modern physics, electronics and experimental skills.
Chemistry: purification, oxygen and nitrogen compounds, biomolecules and practical chemistry.
Biology: close remaining gaps. Finish the first syllabus cycle and take a full diagnostic paper.
Turn knowledge into marks, speed and control
Months 7 to 9Complete revision cycle one using chapter-wise PYQs. Take two or three part tests each week. Repair weak mechanics, Physical Chemistry calculations and NCERT chapters where similar options still cause confusion.
Move to mixed and full-syllabus practice. Start with one full paper a week, then increase only if analysis is complete. Revise Physics formulas, Organic reaction maps and Biology NCERT marked lines.
Use two planned full mocks a week at first and up to three only when recovery and analysis remain strong. Practise OMR carefully. In the last seven to ten days, reduce testing and revise familiar notes, NCERT and the error log.
How to Study Physics, Chemistry and Biology Properly
Concept, sketch, solve, retry
- Write the known and required quantities.
- Draw a diagram before choosing a formula.
- Solve untimed questions first, then timed sets.
- Retry wrong numericals after two or three days.
Separate its three languages
- Practise Physical Chemistry calculations regularly.
- Build Organic reaction links, not isolated lists.
- Recall Inorganic facts directly from NCERT.
- Keep one page for exceptions and repeated errors.
Read, hide, recall, check
- Read a small NCERT block with full attention.
- Close the page and speak or write what you remember.
- Check diagrams, examples and missed keywords.
- Solve close-option MCQs from the same chapter.
Daily Timetable for School Students and Droppers
The number of focused hours matters less than whether the chapter ends with practice and recall. Keep shorter targets on school days and use weekends for tests. A dropper should take breaks and avoid converting a ten-hour timetable into six tired hours.
School or Class 12 student
On a heavy school day, keep a 90-minute minimum session instead of abandoning the entire plan.
Dropper or full-time aspirant
Divide the day into separate blocks. Add more hours only when accuracy and sleep remain stable.
NEET Mock Test and PYQ Strategy
PYQs show how a chapter is converted into options, while mocks show whether you can manage three subjects together. Do not wait for the syllabus to become perfect before taking any test. Start with chapter tests, then part tests and finally full papers.
Use a four-column error log: question or topic, reason for the error, correct idea, and retry date. “Silly mistake” is not a complete reason. Write whether you misread the unit, forgot an NCERT line, used the wrong formula, guessed between two options or lost concentration while filling the OMR.

No. As checked on 13 August 2026, NTA has not released the NEET UG 2027 Information Bulletin and a separate 2027 syllabus is not available. Begin with the latest NMC syllabus, but compare your checklist with the 2027 official PDF after publication.
Can I crack NEET 2027 with nine months of preparation?
Nine months can support a strong attempt when the first six months combine syllabus learning with questions and the last three months focus on revision, PYQs and mocks. Your starting level, consistency and test analysis will influence the result, so no timetable can guarantee selection.
When should I complete the NEET syllabus?
For this nine-month plan, aim to finish the first full syllabus cycle by the end of Month 6. This leaves three months for repeated revision and test practice. A chapter is not complete merely because its lecture is finished; questions and a first revision must also be done.
How many MCQs should I solve every day?
There is no official daily number. A beginner may start with 60 to 90 carefully reviewed questions and increase gradually. Quality matters: solve independently, check every wrong option and retry errors. On a test day, the full paper and analysis can replace the normal daily target.
Is NCERT enough for NEET Biology and Chemistry?
NCERT should remain the main reading source for Biology and important Chemistry areas, but preparation also needs the official syllabus, teacher support where concepts are weak, previous-year questions and mock tests. Physics needs strong conceptual explanation and regular numerical practice alongside NCERT.
