Covered, Partial and Missing Topics Explained
Covered
A covered topic has a strong text match in the notes you provided. The audit also shows the best evidence sentence so you can quickly check whether the match makes sense.
Partially covered
A partially covered topic has some matching words or a related phrase, but the notes may not contain enough detail. These topics are useful for manual review because a short mention is not always enough for exam preparation.
Missing
A missing topic has no strong evidence in the current notes. It should move higher in your revision queue, especially if it is part of an important unit or a chapter that regularly appears in your exam.
The coverage percentage gives full credit to covered topics and partial credit to partially covered topics. It is designed as a practical preparation signal, not as a prediction of your exam score.
More Than a Normal Syllabus Tracker
A standard syllabus tracker normally asks the student to tick a chapter after studying it. That is useful for progress, but it does not check the actual notes. This tool works differently because it compares the text of the syllabus against the study material you provide.

How to Get a Better Syllabus Coverage Result
Use a clean topic list whenever possible. If your syllabus PDF contains long paragraphs, open the Topic Map after the first audit and remove lines that are not real syllabus topics.
Do not use the Flexible setting only to make the coverage percentage look higher. Balanced is a better starting point. Strict matching is useful when you want the tool to accept only clear topic evidence.
Scanned image-only PDFs may not contain selectable text. This version does not pretend to perform OCR. If very little text can be extracted, convert the scan into searchable text first or paste the important content manually.
