The CUET UG Result 2026 was declared by the National Testing Agency on 23 June 2026. Candidates can download the CUET UG scorecard from the official website using the credentials requested on the login page. However, this result does not automatically register you for Delhi University, BHU, JNU, Allahabad University or any other participating institution.

NTA conducts the examination and issues the score. The university makes the course-wise merit list, announces the CUET cut-off or minimum allocation score, verifies documents and offers the seat. This difference is the most important thing to understand after the result.

How to download the CUET UG Result 2026 scorecard

CUET UG Result 2026 Declared: Scorecard, Percentile, University Counselling and Admission Process

The safest route is to begin from the official CUET UG website instead of opening an unknown result link shared on social media. The NTA scorecard page connects candidates to the official examination-services login.

  1. Open the official CUET UG result page Visit cuet.nta.nic.in scorecard page and use the scorecard link shown there.
  2. Enter the requested candidate credentials Use your CUET UG application number and the password, date-of-birth detail or security information requested by the current login screen.
  3. Open and read every subject row Check your name, application details, category, subjects, marks or normalized scores and NTA percentile before closing the page.
  4. Download the full PDF Save the original scorecard in at least two locations. Keep a readable PDF on your phone and another copy in email or cloud storage.
  5. Print a clean copy for admission Universities may ask for an uploaded PDF during registration and a printed copy during physical document verification.
If the result website is slow: do not repeatedly submit the login form in several tabs. Wait for a few minutes, reopen the official CUET website, check your internet connection and try again. Never share your application password or security details with an unofficial “result checker”.

CUET marks, normalized score and percentile are not the same

Many students download the CUET UG 2026 result and immediately search for a fixed marks-versus-percentile chart. That can create more confusion because CUET subjects may be held in multiple shifts and the admission calculation can change from one university programme to another.

Raw marks

Your exam performance

These come from your recorded answers and the final answer key. Under the official marking scheme, a correct answer carries +5, an incorrect answer carries -1 and an unattempted question carries 0.

Normalized score

Multi-shift adjustment

For a subject conducted in more than one shift, NTA uses the official equi-percentile method to make scores from different sessions comparable.

NTA percentile

Your relative position

A percentile is not your percentage of marks. It indicates your relative position among candidates in that test and is calculated separately for the relevant subject or session.

95 percentile is not 95% marks

If your scorecard shows a 95 percentile, it does not mean that you scored 95 percent of the maximum paper marks. It represents relative performance. You should therefore avoid converting your percentile into marks through an unofficial one-line formula.

The university may combine only the CUET subjects allowed for that course. It may also apply category, tie-breaking, Class 12 eligibility and other programme rules. Read the university’s admission bulletin before calculating your chances.

The NTA result notice also shows the scale of competition: one candidate achieved the 100 percentile level in four selected subjects, 22 candidates did so in three subjects, 180 in two subjects and 3,214 in one subject. These figures are useful for understanding competition, but they do not create a common all-India cut-off for every course.

There is no single central CUET UG counselling portal

CUET UG is a common entrance examination, but its admission process is decentralized. NTA does not allot a college seat. Every participating university can run a separate registration portal, charge its own counselling fee, ask for a different course preference order and publish its own merit or allocation lists.

Lane A

You already registered with the university

  • Check whether preference filling is complete and locked.
  • Read the latest merit list or seat-allocation notice.
  • Accept the seat and pay the admission fee before the stated deadline.
  • Track upgrade, freeze and withdrawal rules separately.
Lane B

You have a score but did not register

  • Open the university’s official admission page immediately.
  • Check for an extension, mid-entry option or later spot round.
  • Do not assume NTA has already sent an admission form on your behalf.
  • Keep backup universities ready because missed deadlines may not reopen.
Lane C

Your Class 12 result or improvement result is involved

Lane D

Your preferred course is not working out

  • Compare course eligibility before changing only the university name.
  • Keep state, deemed and private participating institutions as researched backups.
  • Engineering aspirants can also review B.Tech admission options without JEE.

CUET university counselling portals students should check now

The status below was checked on 29 July 2026. Admission pages change quickly, so treat the official university portal as the final authority for registration, preference filling, allocation, fee payment and reporting deadlines.

Official admission desk Not an exhaustive list of CUET universities
University of Delhi
UG admission runs through CSAS. The official portal shows Phase II activity and publishes allocation notices, minimum allocation scores and candidate actions separately.
Open DU CSAS
Banaras Hindu University
BHU uses CAP UG for CUET-based undergraduate admission. The published registration notice listed 25 July as the closing date, so candidates should now check only official notices for the next action or any extension.
Open BHU admission
Jawaharlal Nehru University
The JNU Admissions 2026 page shows the UG and Certificate of Proficiency registration route. Check the e-prospectus for the exact CUET paper combination and programme eligibility.
Open JNU admission
University of Allahabad
The university has a dedicated UG Admission 2026 page for CUET registration and online counselling. Course or faculty cut-offs and allotment notices may appear separately.
Open AU admission

For another central university, start from the official CUET participating central-universities list, locate the institution and then move to that university’s own admission website. For state, deemed or private institutions, verify the current CUET participation and course mapping on the concerned university’s official portal. Never pay a counselling fee through a link that cannot be reached from the official university domain.

If Delhi University is your main target, our existing CUET strategy for Delhi University admission can also help you revisit subject combinations and course planning while reading CSAS preferences.

Who releases the CUET cut-off 2026?

NTA does not publish one admission cut-off for every university.

The participating university prepares its own merit, minimum allocation score or programme cut-off using its approved CUET subject combination and admission rules.

A “good CUET score” cannot be judged through percentile alone. Your admission chance depends on the course, university, category, seat matrix, permitted test-paper combination, number of applicants, preference order and the current counselling round.

What students often compare What actually decides admission Best source to check
A single overall percentile The CUET papers accepted for that specific programme University programme eligibility or bulletin
A generic marks-versus-percentile chart Official score used by the university and its merit formula Your scorecard and counselling rules
Last year’s highest cut-off Current-round category and seat availability Official allocation or cut-off PDF
College popularity alone Your real preference across course, college, fees and location Official prospectus and department pages

Use previous-year cut-offs only as a planning reference. Do not remove a realistic preference simply because an unofficial predictor shows a low probability, and do not place a course above another option unless you are actually willing to join it.

Documents to keep ready for CUET university counselling

Every university publishes its own final checklist. Still, preparing the common records in advance can prevent last-minute upload problems.

01

CUET recordsCUET UG 2026 scorecard, application details and admit card if requested.

02

School recordsClass 10 certificate for date of birth and Class 12 marksheet or pass certificate.

03

Identity and photographsA valid government photo ID, recent photograph and signature file in the prescribed format.

04

Category certificateSC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS or PwBD certificate in the format and validity period required by the university.

05

School-leaving recordsTransfer, migration or character certificate when the university asks for it at reporting.

06

Special claim documentsSports, ECA, defence, domicile, income or other quota documents only where the chosen university permits the claim.

Name and category check: compare the spelling of your name, parents’ names, date of birth and category across the CUET scorecard, Class 10 certificate, Class 12 record and university form. If the university provides a correction window or grievance route, use it before seat verification.

CUET UG Result 2026 FAQs

Q. When was the CUET UG Result 2026 declared?

Ans. NTA declared the CUET UG 2026 result and NTA scores on 23 June 2026. The official scorecard page is available on cuet.nta.nic.in.

Q. Which is the official website for the CUET UG 2026 scorecard?

Ans. Use cuet.nta.nic.in. Open the Score Card for CUET(UG) 2026 notice and proceed to the official candidate login from there.

Q. Is CUET percentile the same as percentage?

Ans. No. Percentage is based on marks secured out of maximum marks, while the NTA percentile indicates relative performance among candidates in the test. A 95 percentile does not mean 95 percent marks.

Q. Does NTA conduct CUET UG counselling?

Ans. No. NTA conducts the test, prepares the result and hosts the scorecard. Each participating university handles its own registration, merit list, counselling, seat allocation and admission queries.

Q. Do I need to register separately for DU, BHU and JNU?

Ans. Yes. These universities use their own admission systems. For example, DU uses CSAS and BHU uses CAP UG. A CUET scorecard alone is not a completed university admission form.

Ans. No. Universities publish course-wise and category-wise merit or allocation information under their own rules. The same CUET percentile can lead to different outcomes for different programmes.

Q. What should I do if I missed a university registration deadline?

Ans. Check that university’s official admission notices for an extension, mid-entry facility, mop-up or spot round. Do not assume that a missed registration will automatically reopen, and keep other eligible universities as backups.
